At Tech Nottingham we are conscious of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and the threat it poses to lives, wellbeing, public services and infrastructure.

While events like Tech Nottingham and Women in Tech are relatively small compared to larger gatherings like concerts and football matches, we recognise the risk they pose when it comes to person-to-person transmission of the virus.

We will be closely following government advice regarding events and public gatherings. At present there is no recommendation that these be cancelled but if and when that advice changes we will follow it without delay.

In the meantime we will be working with our venue to ensure sensible measures are taken to minimise risk of infection.

We recommend following advice as outlined on the NHS website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19

If you are experiencing any symptoms or feeling unwell please do not come to Tech Nottingham or Women in Tech, stay at home.

There's a lot we don't know right now, and there situation is changing rapidly. A supportive community is important in uncertain situations like this and it is important not to be unnecessarily reactive, but we must balance this with public safety and stability.

We keep our listings on technottingham.com and Meetup up to date with the current status of events and should their status change we will notify our community via the Tech Nottingham Slack, Twitter and our mailing list.

We'll (hopefully) see you at the next event.
