Are you feeling overwhelmed with your workload and finding there are just not enough hours in the day? Are you keen to get promoted or take on additional responsibility, but unsure how you could manage it all? Through the medium of lego, Paula will tell the story of how she handled a promotion in a previous role which doubled the number of teams she was responsible for. She will share the advice that she received from a leadership coach and how she applied it, describing what worked for her as well as what didn't. This talk will provide tips for how to keep your workload at a sustainable level, as well as advice on taking on a leadership role.
About Paula
Paula is currently taking a break to home-school her children through lockdown, but most recently was Senior Director, Global Education at VMware Tanzu. Her previous roles include Senior Director of Platform Services & Education EMEA at Pivotal and Chief Operating Officer & co-founder of CloudCredo. Paula has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years and is passionate about community, diversity, equity and inclusion. She is part of the organising committee for DevOpsDays London and also organises the London Platform User Group and Coed:Code meetup groups. You will mostly find her doom-scrolling on Twitter or else struggling with Year 5 level maths!
