What’s it Worth? - Understanding the value of what you build

The features, changes and improvements we identify and make to the software we look after can often seem very clear to us in the value they will deliver to the business and to customers, but even the most simple changes can in practice be eye-wateringly expensive investments.
And so the question “How much money will this make or save us?” is a reasonable one, especially if you’re the one paying for it. This however is a very difficult question to answer.
In this talk Andrew will talk through a lightweight approach to assess the financial value of a development by breaking it down into simple questions and assumptions. He’ll share an example and provide a template for you to use in your own organisation.

Andrew is the founder of Tech Nottingham and Hack24, he’s spoken at over a hundred events, he’s also Head of Data Product Development at Experian and has been working in tech for 17 years in development, product management and senior leadership positions.
